Evening Shade River Lodge and Cabins is just 1/4 mile from the entrance to Chimney Rock Park and just one mile west of Lake Lure, NC. Lodging just 30 minutes from Asheville; 1-1/2 hours from Greenville, SC; 2 hours from Charlotte, NC; and 3.5 hours from Atlanta, GA.
 

From Asheville
Take Interstate 26 East toward Hendersonville. Take Exit 49A (Old exit #18A – Bat Cave East) to Hwy 64 east towards Bat Cave.  Stay on Hwy 64 East for about 15 miles until you get into the Chimney Rock area, keep following Hwy 64 to Evening Shade. (Cabin guests check in at Evening Shade)

From Atlanta
Take Interstate 85 North to Interstate 26 West to Exit 67. Turn right on Hwy 108 East and proceed 4.7 miles to Hwy 9 and make a left.  Follow Hwy 9 for about 9 miles until you reach a junction (and stop sign) for Hwy 64/74 A.  Turn left and keep following Hwy 64/74A. Stay on Hwy 64/74A west for about 4 miles to Evening Shade. (Cabin guests check in at Evening Shade)

From Charlotte
Take Interstate 85 South to Exit #10 (King’s Mountain and Highway 74 West).  Drive on 74 West for about one hour and get off at Exit #167 and turn right onto Hwy 9 North.  Go 14 miles to the stop sign, turn left at this stop sign onto Hwy 64/74A West.  Stay on Hwy 64/74A west for about 4 miles to Evening Shade.
